I Hoppy Friday

So, we got up early this morning to finish up our errands from yesterday. First on our list was to sign up for Keree's next session of Irish step dancing. Keree really loves it and honestly their time and place just works with our schedule. After making a few other stops, we finally decided to use a gift card my Mom got for her birthday back in April. Since it's a blistering 110 degrees outside, we opted to eat inside I hop to enjoy their air conditioning. Keree and I split lunch which was a pot roast sandwich (it was so good) and some cheesy potato soup, which Keree ate the most of. Of course, she also had to eat the majority of my Mom's pancakes also.
When we were finished we headed home. Since it was so hot, we ended up all falling asleep in front of the fans. Which was sort of a bad thing because we needed to finish up Keree's outfit for the pageant this weekend. Once we were up, we got Keree's outfit done. Keree was hungry, so she finished up Grandma's pancakes for dinner. And, Before we knew it, the news was on.

Summer Reading & Dancing

This morning we got up bright and early, so we could be at the Library as soon as it opened. Keree was so excited to pick out her first prize of the Summer Reading program. It was a squishy slice of cake. We also turned in her book report. Then we tried to find the secret hidden poem and tired to guess the pictures of the candy.
This evening we had Irish Step dancing. This week, we were suppose to have two teachers so the class could be split up and learn more. Needless to say, there was two teachers but one teacher worked with the new girl and the rest of the girls were grouped together still. Which made it bad since the two bully sisters, were still stuck with Keree. I had really hoped with the new Teacher that Keree would be seperated from them. Two more classes and then have to decide to continue or not. Since it was so hot, I decided not to cook and we stopped off and picked up a pizza.

Summer Library Reading

We missed the original sign-up date for the summer Library reading program. It was on Monday, so signing up on Thursday of the same week, isn't so bad. Luckily, that means we missed the rush of Mom comparing how many books there kids have already read and sizing up the competition. Unfortunately, that also meant we missed all the fun activites that you had to RSVP for. That's ok, most of them involved junk food and that's really not how we roll around here. Now if it was a veggie or fruit activity, like build the Library's largest Veggie tray instead of build the Library's largest Ice Cream Sundae, then Keree would have been bummed out.
After signing up at the Library, we headed off to the store. Keree is almost obsessed as much with the new Brave movie, as she is with Rapunzel. So, I had saved all the money and gift cards she got from her Birthday in February for her to use this summer or for her to keep saving. Well today, she decided to use her Birthday money. She got a small Merida that lets you change her clothes, the three Brother who turn into bears and finally the larger Merida but not the Princess one, Keree wanted the Archery Merida.
She spent the entire day playing with Merida, here she is taking her for a piggy back ride. She also loves the fact that you can kinda shoot the bow and arrow. Keree also loves the fact that she has Irish Step dancing shoes on, so she also was making Merida practice the steps with her.

Where did Monday Go??

Seriously, where did Monday go? Here it is and I didn't take one single picture the entire day. I can tell you that we spent the day packing, moving and all that fun stuff. In the evening Keree had her Irish Step dancing class and to my surprise, one of my former co-workers' daughter has started in the class. It's kind of cool because we got to catch up, turns out that we are both our daughter's scout leaders also.We have four more classes before the end of the term and I'm still torn on if we will continue or not. Keree really loves it but having the class time cut, I'm just not really sure it's worth the money or if we should look somewhere else?

Otherwise, since I have no pictures to show for today. I thought I would show off some of the craftiness I had done lately. This first pic was from a improtu photo session we had in Keree's friend, Alicia's backyard. They are both wearing our dresses and bows. Aren't they just too cute!
These are some bows, I made and sold to a very sweet lady who had just had a brand new baby girl named Aubrey. She wanted big bows and was very specific on which bottlecaps she wanted. They turned out cute and she sent me a few pictures of the baby wearing them.

Happy Birthday Mom

Today was my Mom's birthday. Keree woke her up by singing Happy Birthday. It was so sweet. Because we'll be heading out in a few days to my Bro's for Easter, our plan is to celebrate out there with him. After school, Keree had her second Irish step dancing lesson. She honestly loves it and it's such good controlled physical therapy for her.

First Irish Step Class

This week in Keree's class, they are still learning about Rainforest and now Jungles. She said she loved her explorer hat.
Today was also Keree's first Irish step dance class. They had suggested to help build up her strength that we get her into a controled activity. They gave us a list of and we choose Irish step dance. My thought is to get through the first 6 weeks and then choose if she will continue or not. But by the end of class, Keree kept gushing about how much fun she had and how well she did. She tried ballet and tap along time ago and it was an utter failure, so I'm so glad she feels good about this. (Keree's the shortest one, has black hair in a ponytail and dressed in purple)
